When Seasons Shift

Has your season to operate started? Mine surely has. The other day I was thinking about how over the past four years the personal projects I have taken on have been non-stop. Starting in 2020 in the grasp of the pandemic, it was like a flood gate had opened in my heart to create.

This reminded me of the prophetic word I had received in November 2019 of how I had felt stuck and unproductive for a while. The word I had received from the Lord was that He was getting me from stuck to unstuck and that 2020 would be my year where I would be in motion again.  I didn’t know what that would be like, but spring 2020 the shifting began.

Shifts in Seasons

I have experienced many seasons of different projects since that word was revealed. Every new season of being shifted into motion was like learning how to walk, then how to run, then how to ride a bike, and lastly how to drive a car.  Previously I shared how I started my childcare business in 2020 until I put it on pause in 2022. That assignment was me learning how to walk. After that I started my girls outreach program in 2022…learning that I could run.  That same year I participated in a collaborative book project where I contributed a chapter. That venture was like me learning to ride a bike. Then in 2023 I set my sights on driving a car with taking on writing an entire book, which has transferred over into 2024. What are some seasons you have experienced with working your passions?

Seasons with FAITH Not Fear

Every season had its differences and challenges. When I think back on my encounters, I realize they were good learning experiences for me. Even though I was inexperienced in each area, I was successful because I overcame all the fears that tried to detour me. I was able to conquer what I didn’t know by following the Spirit of Counsel and using the knowledge and skills I already possessed.

Stepping out on faith to participate in the shared book, ‘Build Me While I’m Building It’, helped me to further build in believing that I could write an entire book. This new season of creating a book has carried over from 2023 to 2024 with much progress.

I believe this season has two parts. The first part was drafting the Mama Knows Best manuscript. It was an intense, yet productive experience that I was happy to complete before the end of 2023. This year started the second part of editing and design, which is a work in progress. So far it has been a fun project. How has your faith help build you up in your season?

In addition to the book project another season that has started for me is my girls outreach program Created For Greatness. It has just begun and is in full effect. So far, it’s been smooth sailing with the registrations, communicating with parents, reservation of meeting places, receipt of notebooks with custom cover design along with new shirts for the girls.

There was one minor hiccup right during registration where a website plugin updated and broke the email submission. I was unaware until a parent shared that they had registered their daughter then I realized something was wrong because I had not received the email notification. When I reached out to my website developer who had explained the issue, I had to laugh. Opposition was in play, but I was determined to make sure no registrations were missed by manually checking for them. If the conversation with the parent would not have taken place I would have missed seven new registrations! When Divine intervention takes place, it’s amazing. Have you had a Divine encounter that has helped you in your season?

No matter the everyday cares of life or my routine responsibilities, I make time to do what I delight in. If conflict or fear comes, they will be annihilated because I will do whatever it takes to make sure this season is one that will be fruitful and fulfilling.

What do you need to do to make sure the season you are in is successful?

Comment below or email me. I can’t wait to learn about your season.

Love the analogy! And the ending was spot on for me, as it reminds me that I must remain determined to finish whatever good work God has begun in me. This was informative, encouraging and prophetic. Thank you Mighty Woman of God!!

Hi Jaquay,

You are such a blessing! I’m currently in a life group and we’re studying Ecclesiastes which is all about seasons and cycles and trusting God for each one with understanding there is a purpose and we are building toward eternity as we seek God. Thank you for your insights and revelations. You are amazing!!

You are very welcome! It's amazing how God is strategic in that way. We are all going through different seasons in our lives. As we look to Him for guidance, we will walk through each one uplifted, empowered, and prepared for whatever the season brings.

Thank you for sharing and supporting!
